Instruments Needed:

  • Appropriate Screwdriver to remove healing cap and seat the final abutment (almost always the same)
  • Torque Driver with appropriate driver insert
  • Lab Provided insertion guide

1.  Remove the Healing Cap using the screwdriver.

2.  Deliver the Abutment, inside the Insertion Guide, to the implant fixture.

3.  Insert the screw through the opening of the insertion guide.

4.  Hand tighten the screw. DO NOT Torque yet.

5.  Remove the insertion guide from the mouth.   (The guide can be cut and destroyed if you are having difficulty removing.)

6.  Verify that the Abutment is fully seated into the implant fixture with a Radiograph (Fig.3)

7.  Place the Crown on top of the abutment and check Contacts and Occlusion. (Fig.4)

8.  Torque abutment into place with Torque Driver.

9.  Cement the crown onto the abutment and clear away excess.

Trouble Shooting:

  • If unable to seat multiple abutments using the seating guide, seat the abutments individually using the seating guide.
  • If the Restoration won’t seat:
    • Verify with Radiograph for proper seat
    • Take an impression with the abutment in place. Pack cord and block out the access holes.
    • Send back to the Lab.
