COMMUNICATION WITH THE DENTAL LAB IN THE DIGITAL AGE (3 CE Credits)
This power point given by Joe Barrett, highlights the all-ceramic products and systems Dental Designs uses. Various all-ceramic products are discussed, including emax, full-contour zirconia and porcelain fused to zirconia. This includes prep designs and cementation. Joe also discusses the latest innovations in digital dentistry and Sirona Connect.
COORDINATING THE IMPLANT TEAM (3 CE Credits)
This power point given by Terry Johnson, CDT, highlights treatment planning, single, multiple and full denture implant case design and use of surgical guides. Screw retained vs. cement retained restorations. Surgical office and dental laboratory protocols plus the latest computer technology in scanning implant design. This presentation is focused for the doctor, oral surgeon and assistant.
TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENTS IN IMPLANT DENTISTRY (3 CE Credits)
This power point highlights the advancements in implant dentistry. It references advances in various implant systems and explains the emerging technology of porcelain application to milled titanium. It discusses the differences between CAD/CAM, machined and castable abutments.
TREATMENT PLANNING AND DESIGN FOR FULLY EDENTULOUS ARCHES (3 CE Credits)
This power point given by Terry Johnson, CDT is a comprehensive overview of design options for fully edentulous implants. Topics covered include treatment planning, appointment protocol, surgical guides, temporization of immediately place implants and abutment selection. Also included is a section on guided surgery using cat scans and computer designed guides.
CONTROLLING NOCTURNAL PARAFUNCTION (3 CE Credits)
This power point given by Chey Miller, highlights the benefits of full coverage splints and anterior deprogrammers in patients that brux and clench as they sleep. You will learn how each type of splint protects not only the teeth but all muscles and other soft tissues surrounding the mouth and what clues to look for that indicate if the patient is clenching, bruxing or both.
