Dr. Mark Pinkerton, Clinical Account Liaison / Consultant

Greetings to all our fine Doctors who allow us the privilege of providing your Dental Lab needs. I would like to introduce myself. I am Dr. Mark Pinkerton, and I joined the Dental Design team in November 2023. I retired from practicing dentistry with nearly thirty-seven years of clinical experience.  My title is Clinical Account Liaison / Consultant.

The goal of my newly created position is to provide oversight throughout the lab from a dentist’s perspective. I will be involved with daily quality assurance.  I am available to work with you to address any concerns you have with your lab cases. Please feel free to reach out to me. I am glad to help in any way I can. My vision is to be a valuable resource for you and your Dental team.

Joe Barrett and I are excited to team up at Dental Designs. We are inventing the wheel as we move forward with this collaborative effort, however this seems like a can’t miss undertaking. By combining our different viewpoints and perspectives, we are confident that we will further increase the level of excellence of the end products and services we provide for our dentists and more importantly your patients.

Here is a little bit about me. I grew up in Beatrice. My Dad was a dentist, and I am one of seven children. I used to clean his office for my allowance and worked there during the summer when school was out.

I obtained my undergraduate degree from The University of Nebraska. I attended UNMC college of Dentistry where I received my DDS in 1987. I served as both a delegate and a trustee for the NDA early in my career. From 1988 to 1990 I spent time as a clinical instructor for the Jr. clinic at the Dental college. During my career I owned private practices in both Beatrice and Wilber NE.

When I wasn’t practicing I raised three great sons. Helping coach many youth sports was very rewarding.

I enjoyed serving on many boards and was involved with many volunteer organizations.

My passions are hunting, fishing, and singing barbershop music. Singing the National Anthem at Wrigley Field for a Chicago Cubs game was definitely memorable.

Without a doubt my favorite activity was spending fifteen years serving as a Commissioner for The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. It was a great privilege getting to help manage our States natural resources and helping manage the hunting and fishing seasons.  It was a tremendous way to give something back for all the wonderful experiences I have enjoyed in our great state.

In closing let me empathize that I am here to help assist you with any of your lab needs or challenges. Whether it is as simple as a question about an impression or a material, or to just to kick around some treatment ideas, I am your man.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dr. Mark
